RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the following key deliverables:

  • Recognition

Recognition of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors locally and abroad – target areas to include:

  • Government institutions
  • Employers of the different surveyors
  • Academic institutions
  • Agencies that require the services of surveyors
  • Other professional bodies
  • Membership
  • Membership Satisfaction – use of member engagement strategies and feedback (taking advantage of all forms of media and forums)
  • Membership Growth

 

  • Finance
    • Leading the generation, expansion and growth of all income (subscriptions and commercial)
    • Identify and grow a long-term pool of sponsors and partners for the institution
  • Strategy
    • Work towards achieving the objectives of the GhIS
    • Lead in providing market intelligence relevant to the broad picture of the space in which GhIS is
    • Recommend strategic moves for the consideration of Governing Council
  • Administration
    • Understand and work with the Organizational Structure
    • Oversee the efficient running of the GhIS Secretariat – inspiring, motivating and providing leadership to all staff, committee members, etc to achieve optimum performance

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to command & promote respect, credibility and trust throughout the institution
  • Ability to build collaborative staff teams and drive a performance culture
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • An understanding of the sectors in which GhIS operates
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Computer and web literate: Knowledge and fluency in Microsoft office and comfortable with new online technologies
  • Organized and attention to detail, self motivated
  • Results oriented and highly commercially minded

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous senior managerial position
  • Involved in the development / promotion of an international brand
  • Appreciation of staff structure / hierarchy
  • Been part of Business and market development, planning and analysis
  • Financial management
  • Stakeholder management

SALARY

Shall be Performance Based with set Quarterly Targets.
