 THEME The Theme for the Conference is, “The Surveyor: Partner in National Development”.
CONFERENCE VENUE The Venue for the Conference is Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra and is approximately ten (10) kilometers away from the Kotoka International Airport.
PARTICIPATION FEE The Fee (excluding residential accommodation) is as follows: Early Bird Registration Before 31st Jan, 2010 Normal after 31st Jan. 2010 US$250 US$300
HOTELS Conference rates have been negotiated with various hotels. The selected Hotels are: Alias Hotel US$ 150 per night Highgate Hotel US$ 125 per night Coconut Grove US$ 130 per night
PROGRAMME OUTLINE The Activities planned will take place at the Conference Venue, unless otherwise stated, are as follows:

- Sat. 20th Feb. 2010 Sponsored Walk This will start from the Accra Mall to Aviation Social Centre from 5:30am to 9:00 am. The Regional Branches are also planning for similar activity.
- Sun. 21st Feb. 2010 Courtesy call on selected Foundation Members
- Mon. 22nd Feb.2010 Press Conference to launch of the Surveyors’ Week by the President of GhIS at Press Centre, Ridge
- Tue. 23rd Feb. 2010 Charity Donation - Departure from Survey and Mapping Division of the Lands Commission at 12:00 noon
- Wed. 24th 2010 Formal Opening of Conference Opening Ceremony and Paper Presentations at three (3)
Sessions. Ghanaian Evening – Cocktail Reception at Coconut Groove Regency Hotel, Ridge at 6pm
- Thur. Feb. 25th Paper Presentations Graduation Ceremony – Formal Admission of New Members into the Institution at 4pm, Awards to deserving Students, Recognition and award of Foundation Members
- Fri. 26th Feb. 2010 Presidential Lecture by President GhIS 41st AGM including election of Governing Council Members Open Forum Islamic Thanksgiving services at Burma Camp Mosque Social Program (Accra TOUR) CASLE and FIG Board Meetings
- Sat. Feb. 27th Dinner and Awards Night Presidential Ball (Induction of New Governing Council Members, Elevation of Fellows, Induction of New President etc at the Banquet Hall, State House at 7pm
- Sun. Feb. 28th Thanksgiving Church Service at Accra Ridge Church at 7:30am
OTHER SOCIAL EVENTS These include: February 26
- Courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, the Traditional Ruler in Accra
- Accra City Tour – Kwame Nkrumah Museum – drive through the commercial area and other places of significance.
PRESENTATIONS These will take the form of general Presentations and Plenary Sessions (or break-out Sessions). The general presentations will be done by:
- The President of CASLE,
- The President of FIG, and
- The President of GhIS.
At Plenary Sessions, the Presentations will be held at three different Venues and simultaneously. The topical areas for Presentations are:

- Property and Facility Management
- City Planning and Management
- Environmental Issues
- Cost Planning and Management
- Project Management
- Remote Sensing
- Capacity Building in Geometric Engineering
- Global Reference Network (GRN) - Techniques and Challenges
- Cadastral Surveying
- Hydrography, the Oil and Gas Industry and the Surveyor, and
- Other topics which flow from the Theme could be generated for Paper Presentations.
